Lately I have been falling off the deep end a little into the world of boho fashion (as seen here, here and here) and while I am still having a love affair with loose skirts and cropped sweater tops, some days I feel a bit like returning to my preppy roots. I think a few must haves in a closet should include a great pair of jeans, a flattering fit blouse, a comfortable pair of cute flats and a take anything, anywhere tote.

From these basics you can really add accessories (necklaces, scarves, sunglasses) to play the look up or down. Add a blazer for a more dressy look or add a tank under the blouse and wear it open for a more casual look. Here are a few basics that would make a perfect outfit for any day in May.
